Podcast Monday... Marginalized people often struggle to be heard. In order for their voices to rise, those who live with privilege have to make space. But are people in positions of power willing to share that space?

Tomorrow at St. George's Anglican Church - Cadboro Bay Tolmie Regional Youth (TRY): Is a group is for anyone in grades 9-12 and offers a place where we can have... real conversations about spirituality and life! This group offers a safe place to discuss, wonder, and discover our faith. Lets make friends, ask those hard questions, and explore our relationship with God! Each time we meet is a little bit different we pray, worship, discuss, make music, and plan a few out trips so that we can engage with our community. The group is youth driven with a focus on discussing topics and planning activities that the group wants to engage in/learn about! For more information please email Jaime & Liz at [email protected]

A Morning Resolve: I will try this day to live a simple, sincere and serene life, repelling promptly every thought of discontent, anxiety, discouragement, impurity, and self-seeking; cultivating cheerfulness, magnanimity, charity, and the habit of holy silence; exercising economy in expenditure, generosity in giving, carefulness in conversation, diligence in appointed service, fidelity to every trust, and a childlike faith in God. In particular I will try to be faithful in th...ose habits of prayer, work, study, physical exercise, eating, and sleep which I believe the Holy Spirit has shown me to be right. And as I cannot in my own strength do this, nor even with a hope of success attempt it, I look to thee, O Lord God my Father, in Jesus my Savior, and ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Amen. #yyj #prayerful #friday #yyjanglicans Photo taken in the St. George's gardens.

Compassionate God, support and strengthen all those who reach out in love, concern, and prayer for the sick and distressed. In their acts of compassion, may they know that they are your instruments. In their concerns and fears may they know your peace.... In their prayer may they know your steadfast love. May they not grow weary or faint-hearted, for your mercys sake. Amen.
