After losing round two due to a standing eight count, Coach John came out determined in the third and won by TKO after scoring three standing eights of his own! Thanks to Canadian Fighting Center Winnipeg KickBoxing Muay Thai Boxing BJJ MMA Gym for putting on the card, the coaches, fighters, and officials for supporting Winnipeg boxing, and of course St. James team members who came out to cheer John on! We received some blows and some medals at this year’s provincials, and it was great to finally compete. Cam looked sharp in his first ever bout earning himself a win in the second round after his opponent retired due to injury, making Cam novice provincial champion at 75kg. John fought a high paced fight against a strong up-and-coming fighter from United Boxing Club Inc but couldn’t pull out the win. A big thanks to Pan Am Boxing Club and Boxing Manitoba for putting on the event, and of course all the fighters and coaches who worked hard so they could show up and fight! Looking forward to the next competition
