Good morning there have been some inquiries regarding when to bring baking for the Bazaar so that people will be able to get the baking when it is fresh. Initially, Sunday, Nov 29 was going to be the baking Sunday. My suggestion would be if you were planning on doing some baking for the bazaar that you make sure you can drop that off no later than a Thursday so that people can get it before the weekend. With that in mind please drop baking off any day Monday to Thursday 9-12.... We can send out an email to people to let them know that fresh baking has arrived on the days that it is dropped off. There will be at least a couple of people in the office who will gladly purchase some fresh baking to have with coffee as soon as it arrives. The "progressive Bazaar" will have items on display for the next couple of weeks. Please remember, parishioners only. See more

Since we will not be having in person services for the next three Sundays we will also not be having the progressive Bazaar on Sundays. However - GOOD NEWS! - you will still be able participate in the Bazaar. The church office will remain open during this shut down period. The Bazaar items will be put out on the tables in the Narthex. The Narthex will be opened Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to noon so you can come by for a little outing and come in and select from the display.... Payment is exact change or cheque. Change will not be available so either buy more or round up. There will be a spot to leave your payment for the bazaar items and the offering plate for donation envelopes. The sanctuary will also be open if you would like to go in to spend some time in prayer. Mask wearing is mandatory. Disposable ones will be available if you forgot one. Please also give space to people. Only one or two people in the Narthex at a time so please wait outside until others are finished. If you have items that you have prepared to donate to the bazaar they can be dropped off during the same hours. Thank you to Leanne Power and her elves for helping to give us a "taste" of a Christmas Bazaar in a year when none will be happening. Remember this is a closed event. Only parishioners are invited to attend. No neighbours or friends

Good evening all: This afternoon Dr. Henry did a rare Saturday press conference to address updates regarding the increase in Covid cases in British Columbia. As a result she has directed that all social gatherings in the Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal health regions cease from today until November 23. In response to this directive Archbishop Melissa has posted the attached statement. In this statement she is leaving it to individual parishes to decide if they will suspen...d in person activities during this period. Being that we are in one of the "hottest" spots for Covid transmission in the province we shall suspend in person activities for the next couple of weeks including Sunday services. So there will be no Sunday services tomorrow November 8 or Sunday November 15 as well as no mid week services or gatherings for the next two weeks. Hopefully over this period Covid transmissions in our area will decrease and we will be able to resume worship through Advent and the Christmas season. Bible study will continue on line. The Friday book club group that is currently meeting will also move to on line for the current groups final session on Friday. Contact info for those sessions will be sent out. Shrinking your contacts and activities over the next couple of weeks will help keep us all safer. We will return to recording and posting the service for the next couple of Sundays as was done prior to our returning to in person worship. Blessings Al

We are a bit more then six months into the pandemic but it still remains a learning curve living through a pandemic. Some of us are getting up in years but I think it is safe to say this is still the first pandemic any of us have lived through. The following link is to an article by a Canadian professor from Toronto who has volunteered for long term assignments in past world trauma areas. Struggling six months or so into a crisis is a normative reality. Our current reality is getting more and more challenging. May her words bring you some hope. https://parents-together.org/these-tweets-about-pandemics-/ Blessings Al

Good afternoon. The Sunday service was recorded today but uploading is taking longer than usual. It is a two step process. First is to upload it to YouTube the second is for YouTube to process it. Each is usually about 30 to 40 minutes. Today upload has taken almost two hour and processing has just started so it will probably be at least another hour. So go enjoy the day it is coming

Good day everyone, A little more information on the upcoming Christmas Bazaar. It is a progressive one, meaning it will take place over four Sundays from Nov 15 - Dec 6. Each week will feature a different theme. Nov 15; Jams & Jellies, Chutneys & Pickles Nov 22; Crafts & handiwork Nov 29; Baking... Dec 6; Porch Pots (outdoor evergreen arrangements) The hours will be 9 am - 12 pm. You can shop before or after each service. Cheques or cash will be accepted for payment, please consider rounding up your purchase amount to limit the change needing to be handled. A FEW SUGGESTIONS *Jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles should be labelled on the top rather than on the jar, to minimize the amount of handling needed. *Baking must be securely wrapped or packaged and clearly labelled on top. * Cookies - Cello gift bags will be available for packaging. You will just need to tie the back securely with twine or ribbon. Bags will be available in the next week, on the mail table. Items can be brought in o the Saturday before, between 2 & 4 or on the featured Sunday morning. If you have a particular item you'd like to see, please add it to the "Baking Wish List" on the mail table. Please contact Leanne Power with any questions or suggestions.

Good Morning Everyone We will definitely be having a Christmas Bazaar this year! It will be a bit different than previous years. The Bazaar this year will be a Progressive one, meaning it will take place over four weeks. It will only be open to parishioners and it will be held in the Narthex between services. Each week we will focus on a different aspect of the Bazaar.... Nov 15; Jams & Jellies, Chutneys & Pickles Nov 22; Crafts & handiwork Nov 29; Baking Dec 6; Porch Pots (outdoor evergreen arrangements) All items for the bazaar should be priced if possible. All baking should be sealed in plastic wrap, ziplock bags or cello bags and labeled. This is always a fun event and despite the current Covid-19 situation, there is no reason it cannot continue to be a fun event as long as we continue to be calm, be kind and be safe. Masks must be worn while at the Bazaar tables. More details to follow. Further information contact Leanne Power
