Support for CPAN's Operation Snowsuit We will be collecting new or gently used winter clothing again for the Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network's annual winter clothing drive. Donations can be placed on the table outside the chapel. Please ensure used clothing has been cleaned and is in good condition with no rips or damage to the material. Items that can be donated are winter boots, snowsuits or parts of snowsuits, hats, mitts and gloves. We cannot accept donations of scarves. Thank you for considering this very worthwhile program. Since the official launch of this annual program last week, there have already been over 200 requests for winter clothing for children in need in Renfrew County.

Support for the Renfrew District Food Bank We have been asked to support the Renfrew District Food Bank's "Advent Calendar - 24 Days of Donations Campaign". Families are most welcome to contribute food donations and send with students to the school or to fill boxes at home. Please see the attached poster and list of instructions for more information.

Dominican Republic Mission Fundraiser We have a few homemade Strawberry/Rhubarb jam preserves left over from our DRE fundraiser last year. Price is $8 per jar and they can be purchased from the Chaplaincy Office.

Attention 2020 GRADS and PARENTS! SJHS will be holing a graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 on Friday, October 9th, 2020. In compliance with the RCDHU, this event will be held outside; students will be placed in groups of 10 and assigned 15-minute blocks to get their photos and receive their diplomas. Student services has attempted to reach all 2020 graduates by phone and/or e-mail. If you would like to participate in this ceremony but have not yet signed up for a time, please contact Mrs. Pender or Mr. Valliquette as soon as possible. Booking times are between 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm and the cost is $10 for a cap and tassle.

Thanksgiving Food Drive The first week of our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive in support of the Renfrew and Area Food Bank is coming to an end. So far, well over 100 items have been donated. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If every student and staff member donated even one item, that would be over 600 items for the Food Drive! Please remember this very important initiative to help our brothers and sisters in need in our communities and contribute if you are a...ble.
