The hardest part about this table is allowing for expansion and contraction of the table top. Wood will always expand and contract, and if you do not allow it to do so, it will warp, buckle, crack and youll have all sorts of problems. To allow for seasonal movement, I used figure 8 tabs to attach the apron to the table top. These can swivel and let the top expand and contract along the apron. Its all about the little details!
