Good morning band parents, A few updates in regard to general band happenings... Thank-you to all who volunteered for the coat check event on Friday, March 6th. To recap: arrive at the CATS theatre for 6:30 PM and we will conclude sometime around 9:30 PM.... ***If anyone is interested in donating baked goods, we will be providing snacks for the event intermission. If you are unable to attend as a volunteer but are still able to donate any sort of baking that week, please let me know and I will (very gratefully) add you to my list.*** Upcoming festival dates: Barrhead: Morning of Wednesday, March 11th. St. Albert: Morning of Friday, April 3rd. If you previously volunteered for equipment transport or riding the bus, I will be in touch with you individually some time this week. If you did not sign up at our previous meeting but are able to help, please contact me and I will add you to my list. As always, I am looking for two volunteers to drive equipment to and from each venue as well as one or two volunteers to ride on the bus with us. ***Band Trip Updates*** The third and final payment is due next Tuesday ($600 - February 25th). Please let me know immediately if this is cause for concern; I need to send a money order by the end of that week so it is absolutely critical that all outstanding payments are in as soon as possible! For those who have fund raised, I will be in contact with you directly next Monday (February 24th) to confirm exactly how much (if any) you owe for the final deposit. Any refunds owed will be issued after the money order has been processed in early March to ensure that we do not end up with a negative balance in the bank. The reason I am delaying that information until next week is that we still have Sobeys cards for sale at the office. If anyone is interested in purchasing more this week, I highly encourage it! Sometime in March (before Spring Break) I will be reviewing everyone's trip documentation and contacting anyone with missing pieces. Good more band parents, The band students were send home with envelopes that had 50/50 tickets and instructions last week. If you did not receive them please let Mr. Bures know as soon as possible. Tickets are due back by Friday, December 6th. Also a reminder that our upcoming Christmas Concert will be on Tuesday, December 10th at 7:00 PM. Students are asked to arrive dressed and ready to perform at 6:30 PM.... If you have any questions regarding the 50/50, concert dress, performance times, please feel free to contact Mr. Bures at the school. Thanks again for your support.

Good morning band parents, A friendly reminder that our first payment for the Nashville band trip is due this week. $800.00 per student due anytime this week. Payments will be ranked according to when they are received. Once we know exactly how many students are attending in total, we will know how many parents we can take (total trip number is capped at 40). Next week we will contact parents interested in going on the trip in order of payments received as indicated above. A...s always, all cheques are to be made out to St. Mary Band Parents's Society. Thank-you to all who made it to our band parent meeting last night. Meeting minutes will follow in the next few days, however in the mean time the most important piece of information is in regard to the upcoming trip payment (if applicable to your student). The first trip payment will work as follows... $800.00 per student due anytime the week of October 14-18 (immediately following Thanksgiving).
