It is with another heavy heart the St Michaels says goodbye to our last crisis worker Kyra Hannah. Kyra along side Vero did great things for our mission in helping our clients receive the best help and care in social reintegration and support. We want to wish Kyra our best wishes on her new journey and continue to ask our partners and community to continue to support our mission. We have been blessed over the years to have wonderful crisis workers and Vero and Kyra have marked their place in the hearts of our clients and on the mission.

It is with regret that we inform you that for financial reasons some staff members are no longer a part of our team. One of the positions lost was the supervisor of Psychosocial Intervention, Vero Allaire. Vero offered outstanding support for people who deal with mental health issues. She was well respected by her clients and colleagues during her time spent at the mission. She was gentle with a good sense of humour and took pride in the smallest accomplishment concerning her clients. She will be missed.

Nous voulons souhaiter la bienvenue à Simon, notre nouveau stagiaire en partenariat avec l’Université de Montréal. Dans le cadre de son cours en Santé Communautaire de son baccalauréat en Science Infirmières, celui-ci voulait voir de plus près la population plus vulnérable de Montréal, il vient mettre la main à la pâte à la cuisine et au service des repas, mais aussi à l’accompagnement des usagers dans les différentes problématiques qu’ils peuvent vivre. Il interagit avec les... usagers sur le plancher, explore avec eux leurs besoins et problèmes afin de mieux les orienter vers les différents services et ressources pouvant être donné par nos intervenants. Un mot de Simon : J’ai choisi St. Michael’s Mission car c’est un endroit fort riche en expériences de toutes sortes, un endroit qui accueil tous et chacun peu importe leur passé et situation. C’est un endroit où tous peuvent trouver de l’aide autant sous forme de vêtements, d’un repas chaud d’une oreille attentive qui aura vraiment à coeur de les accompagner dans leurs différentes démarches.
