Oh my goodness, what a surprise this one is! I found it on O'Brien's page and you need to be seriously old to remember it but Jack Walsh is the uncle of Doreen Walsh Noseworthy and John Walsh. He is also the father of Jack Walsh. They were all members of the popular 1970s group, The Montereys.

My only reason for posting this is because it is beautiful. That, I think, is reason enough. I saw this video several years ago but was delighted to see it is still available. It brings back a lovely memory for me. A couple of years ago (well, maybe 60+ years ago), while at choir practice with Sr M Edwardine, Sister had Betty Hickey sing this for us. Betty had a beautiful voice and she did one grand job on "The Redemptorist Rosary". Betty Hickey, wherever you are, this lovely hymn always reminds me of you. Thanks for the memory!

There is definitely an abundance of talent among our St Patricks people. Have a look at this post and see for yourself the stunning work of JoJo Connors. You will also see how JoJo, Paula, and Heather solved a slight problem.

It is sad to learn that another of our St Patricks graduates has died. Joan COLLINS Sparrow passed away on Saturday, 8th August. Deepest sympathy to her family and many friends. May Perpetual Light shine upon Joans soul.

Sincerest sympathy to the family of Miss Madeline Fagan who died yesterday, 3rd August. Miss Fagan taught at St Patricks Convent for many years. So many former St Patricks students will be sad to hear of her passing and will remember her with great affection. May Miss Fagan rest in eternal peace.

We send our deepest sympathy to the Abbott and Fleming families on the loss of their loved one, Alice Mary Abbott. Alice passed away on 28 July at the age of 91. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincere sympathy is offered to the family of Patricia (Patsy Halleran) Tobin. Patsy, who attended St Patricks Convent Schools, passed away on 30th June. May Patsys soul rest in eternal peace.

Sincere sympathy to the family of Norma WILLIAMS Murphy who passed away on 26th June. Norma is another St Patricks graduate who has been called home. United with her loved ones who have gone before her, may Norma rest in eternal peace.

Sincere sympathy to the Sinnott and Noftall families on the loss of their beloved Mary. Mary (Noftall) Sinnott passed away on 30 May and she leaves behind grieving family and friends but also an abundance of happy memories. Mary Noftall, as well as her younger sisters, attended St Patricks Convent School and she will be affectionately remembered by many of her former school mates. May Marys soul rest in eternal peace.

I dont know what is going on with facebook. I have been trying for two day to change my profile picture but it just wont work. I guess we will have to leave the blue ribbon there even though it is now June. I will keep trying and hope that facebook will eventually co-operate! Just wanted you to know!

We are sorry to learn of the passing of another St Patricks friend. Rosemary Heffernan Howlett grew up in the Goulds and was educated at St Kevins School there. After graduation from St Kevins, Rosemary enrolled in Sr Imeldas Commercial Class at St Patricks Convent School. Wherever Rosemary was, her kind ways and friendly smile made her a popular classmate. After many years of ill health, Rosie passed away on 11 May. We send our sincere sympathy to her family and friends. May Rosies soul rest in peace.
