1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him Each of us has a vision of what heaven might be like. The reality is that we do not know what heaven is. Yes, we have read books about heaven; heard what others think it is like and have our own view of what it would be like. A small child once, when asked what he thought heaven was like, said, That’s where God is.. ... Maybe children know a lot of things we adults often argue about and they see them through the eyes of a childpure and unclouded. Prayer of the Day. Dear Father in Heaven. Someday we hope to be with you in heaven. Some day we hope to be reunited with love ones from our time on this earth. Some day we hope to be welcomed into the heavenly host. Along the way we need your word, your guidance and your strength to stay the course. Bless us today and every day with your Holy Spirit. AMEN

Acts 17:27 That they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us Youth, whether ours or others, do look for guidance in this world. It may not seem it at times, but they do want to do right and learn how to be a productive member of society. Sure, at times we may question why they behave in contradictory ways, yet they are seeking guidance in a world full of options of good and bad. How w...e speak to them, how we encourage them, always makes a difference. Prayer of the Day. Dear Lord. Bless our youth as they find the right ways to live out your word. Bless our youth for their energy and enthusiasm as they experience so many wonderful things in this world. Bless our youth for their wide-eyedness that allows them to welcome you into their hearts. The faith of a child can be in our hearts as well. AMEN

Psalm 34:17-20 When the righteous cry for help, the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken We hear a lot about abuse in our world. Adults in positions of power causing a life time of grief in a younger person. Bosses who are difficult and demeaning to w...ork with, taking away ones enjoyment of work which can take away one’s self-esteem. Living in a world free of abuse, physical or emotional, is likely not possible. Yet how we behave toward others is one place to start. Prayer of the Day. Dear Lord. Help us to be a role model for the way in which you want us to live each day. Help us to be here for people who need us when they are at their lowest. Help us to be a voice always seeking peace and harmony when chaos seems the way viewed by others. Walk with me as I need a guide to help me be there for others as I want them to be there for me. AMEN

Romans 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us Those early days for the Christians must have been full of fear and anxiety. Imagine claiming that the Messiah had been here, was crucified and had risen from the dead I suspect most people had a hard time accepting this information. Yet, many were converted to the new religion and as time passed, more and more accepted the belief. Per...secution followed for many and doors were closed to employment and advancement. But they held on to the belief, took the gospel into the world, and over time numbers grew. Today we are faced with many of the same challenges but we too can make a difference one at a time. Prayer of the Day. Dear Lord. Be with me today as I walk the earth and meet people who need my care. Be with me today as I meet people who need a kind word, a smile and my compassion. Be with me today as I meet those looking for spiritual guidance and make me your vessel of change for them. Be with me as I travel my own journey in this land often beset with confusion. AMEN
