It looks like we are in the middle of a few days of wet weather but the good news is, the course was dry so it’s taking the rain well! It’s also another great day to get the tees and greens fertilized! Bag tags have finally arrived so stop by next time you’re out to pick yours up. We have PGA Championship picks available in the shop so make sure to stop by and grab some. With the weather forecast this week I doubt we will do anymore than 1 draw. Our FREE ladies clinics begin ...Wednesday evening. I have space for a couple more ladies at 5pm but my 6pm is full. Give the shop a call to get signed up, 466-5336. It does appear the forecast is for showers Wednesday so in the event of bad weather check facebook for any updates or give the shop a shout. Worst case I’ll just delay the start by a week. Don’t forget we are having our opening 4 person stableford tournament on Saturday, May 28th. Cost is $20 per player and is open to all members and guests. Points are awarded for bogeys, pars, birdies and eagles. Handicaps are in use so an 18 handicap would receive a shot a hole so a 5 would become a 4. This is a great format for Men, Women and Seniors! Give the shop a call to get signed up! St George is having a par 3 contest from this Friday thru Monday. Every hole is converted to a par 3 and the there will be closest to the pins on all holes. Cost is just $20 to play and you can play it as many times over the 4 days as you wish ($20 each time). You MUST play with at least 1 other person. Please bring your own measuring tape. Special scorecards will be given out to record the distances. Once your round is done all cards will be placed into a locked box which I will then open Tuesday to see who are the winners. From there 15 prizes ranging from something as small as a hat all the way up to a brand new custom driver will be placed in a hat and drawn at random. The more people that play, the bigger the prizes. No sign up is required, just book regular tee times! Call St George at 755-3391 to book your tee time!

Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday! Power carts will be available starting on Wednesday! You must call the shop to reserve at 466-5336 as the online option will not be available to start the season! Please note that everyone will be required to sign for the carts, we are hoping this will cut back on the reckless actions that we dealt with last year! Driving range is still closed until further notice, shouldn’t be too much longer. Just a note that tee times will start at 8am begi...nning on Saturday. We will move to 7am on weekends and holidays in June! Ladies FREE golf clinics will start next Wednesday May 18th! Clinics will be in the evenings with a group at 5 and a group at 6 (will do one at 7 if the numbers warrant). Clinics will run for 4 weeks with the final week including an on course evening with our ladies twilight league! We have clubs available for anyone who needs them. The weather has finally taken a turn for the better so check back Monday and we will have an announcement about when the carts will be hitting the course! Our Clicgear order arrived last night and due to a last minute cancellation we are excited to say we have 1 Clicgear ewheels available. We have paired it up with an RV1S cart. Priced at $1300 plus tax, this electric cart won't last long! It will be the last electric cart we will have in the shop this year so if you have any questions or want it, call or stop by the shop!
