SMALL acts of kindness can make a HUGE impact these days! Give someone a COMPLIMENT, A SMALL GESTURE OF APPRECIATION, A HELPING HAND or ACKNOLWLEDGEMENT OF THEIR STRENGTHS! We all need it!
Happy Friday Wildcats! PARENTS, STUDENTS & EDUCATORS, you did an outstanding job returning to in-person learning this week and dealing with all the changes! You are creating the POSIVIBES our young people need! Have a wonderful Valentine's & Family Day "Holiday" on Monday
We have a small but very talented, creative & commited group of staff members we call the BULLETIN BOARD DIVAS who put together another inspirational display & Valentine's Message - 100 REASONS WE LOVE OUR SCHOOL! A great exercise in "gratitude!" We are lucky indeed!
One of our students really benefitted from the opportunity that SYCHRONOUS LEARNING provides. He was able to enjoy some guitar lessons from our CYW's son. Two cool guys helping each other, learning from each other, enjoying a personal connection over Microsoft Teams!
Wellington Catholic Community - Please see details outlined from the Ministry announcement today. We will continue to keep you informed with updates on remote and in-person learning through school communication and https://t.co/5V97seFbMV.
Thank you to Mrs. Del Duca's Grade 7 students for leading us in our "virtual" 4th week of Advent Liturgy and Celebration of "LOVE"
The season of Advent begins this Sunday, November 29th. More than ever, it is an important time to "prepare a room for Jesus in our hearts and in our lives." Our main foyer has been prepared to remind our staff and students. We invite you to bring CHRIST back into Christmas!
Dear Wildcat Parents! We will be eBLASTING a LINK for our Wildcat Virtual Christmas Concert this afternoon! SO MAKE SURE you have "self-SUBSCRIBED" on our website so you receive these important email blasts. There are also a number of other ways to receive "School News!"
The LINK for our Virtual Christmas Concert has been eBLASTED Wildcats...ENJOY!
Love these "STUDENT-CREATED" posters quietly and humbly placed all over our school! We have noticed staff and students READING them and SMILING afterwards! Thank you to the KINDNESS NINJAS for doing these without being asked and for no accolades in return! #spreadKINDNESS
Love the Christmas CARDS, CRAFTS and DECORATIONS our kids make for us parents! Looking back upon them over the years brings back some awesome memories!
As Scott told our Grade 1 - 4's today, if you have the COURAGE to push through hard things in LIFE and IN SCHOOL and always be a LEADER (part of the solution), then "magic, learning and strength happens and amazing positive adventures will always come your way!"
Despite the challenging times, God's MERCY, GRACE and BEAUTY is all around us. They say "seeing with your heart" is just as important as seeing with your eyes! Merry Christmas Wildcats!
Thank you Scott for a great day of learning @ Wildcat Country! Remember, you can be a LEADER if you always look for ways to help other people! Take turns, say "after you", look to be your best, teach with your actions, say "thank you!" Leaders SOLVE problems!
Next week is our L-E-A-D-E-R-S-H-I-P, Kindness and Bullying Prevention Week Wildcats! Don't forget to wear as much PINK on Thursday, November 26th as possible :) And it's a PD Day on Friday, November 27th.
Look at the PERSISTENCE, HARD WORK, AGILITY and POSITIVE ATTITUDE of these male and female Wildcat Warriors! Getting some "healthy exercise, gross motor skills and kinesthetic confidence" through our Ninja Obstacle Course Program! No stopping our Wildcats!
All grades should be documenting their students' learning! It's just not about tests & handouts (PRODUCT), because "OBSERVATIONS & CONVERSATIONS" can be very rich in revealing what young people know, don't know, wonder, and most importantly, what they are making connections with!
It's KINDNESS, LEADERSHIP & BULLYING PREVENTION WEEK @ Wildcat Country! Are you taking up our challenge? "Do ONE kind act per day for 5 days!" Gonna be a great week of activities, prayers, guest speakers & spirit days to teach us HOW TO LIFT OURSELVES and EACH OTHER UP!
Hey Wildcats! We are celebrating our LEADERSHIP & BULLYING PREVENTION WEEK next week! We welcome Scott Graham who will share strategies and lessons with our students and staff. Please note, that Friday is a PD Day. Staff will be engaged in Spiritual Development Day activities!
Hey Wildcat Families! It's never too early to get our young people to start thinking about the possibilities and "PATHWAYS" available at Lion Country! Visit the LINK below for info on an awesome St. James Sport Leadership SHSM Program COMING SOON! http://stjohnguelph.wellingtoncdsb.ca/a/news/article/813917
