I've had the great pleasure of working at Ottawa's most iconic live music venue the Rainbow Bistro for most of the last decade. I've known the family that owns ...it since I was in diapers and my brother and sister wouldn't be here today if my mom hadn't met their dad there in the early 80s. This bar hold such a special place in so many hearts! It's really hard even months after the lockdown started to think of when and how reopening a live music venue that doesn't serve food is going to work.. Adaptability is the only way forward! As a last resort to push through this dark time we'll be doing what we do best and welcoming performers back through our doors but in a much different way.. In the coming week we will be setting up the Rainbow as an ideal place for bands to do live streams, hold rehearsals and even film live sets and music videos. We are also very much open to creative ideas on how to adapt and hopefully survive.
