What an awesome weekend. Over 100 pairs of socks and mitts collected for the Winter Survival Drive!!! Some amazing costumes, candy gardens, theatre mask making and more. Thanks to everyone for such positivity, safety awareness and community giving.

Something super special to do today! This gorgeous, award winning show for young people is being streamed online today at 2pm. A wonderful example of live theatre for our students of all ages. There’s a mini drama class before and after too! #weefestival

Ah! Throw back to a year ago when this gorgeous group of humans delighted us with their performance of Northpole’s Got Talent! The plan then was to make the Further Stages holiday play an annual thing...darn...hopefully next year. But even just seeing this photo can get you in the festive mood!

Congratulations to Oakville Manager and Singing teacher Megan who has recently been awarded the RBC Future Launch LINK Emerging Artist Fellowship with the Association for Opera in Canada!!! We are so lucky to have her on our team, not only for her gorgeous voice but for her gorgeous heart. Megan shares "I am excited to meet and connect with a diverse group of exceptional artists and to continue to grow, learn and advance my skill set in new mediums, learn more about inclusivity, representation, advocacy, and allyship, and discover new means of agency, innovation and entrepreneurship."

We have lots of Halloween fun planned for Stagecoach this weekend! Dress up and explore your characters. Also, if you can, bring in a new pair of warm socks or mitts for our Winter Survival Drive in partnership with Mississauga's "The Compass" Food Bank and Shelter.

Today I woke up thinking about how truly grateful I was for our Stagecoach teachers- and then I saw it was World Teacher Day! So a huge shoutout to our amazing team who are back at it because they genuinely love inspiring children through the arts. They have had to adapt how they teach from playing piano in a parking lot, to creating choreography in a box, to coming alive in our homes through zoom, to rewriting plays so they can be distanced, to taking health and safety standards seriously ...all with huge smiles on their face (you can feel it through the masks)! Thank you to them and to teachers everywhere!

Wow! Oakville Main Stages is now open. So heartwarming to see everyone again and we are so impressed by the kids and their parents for keeping it safe, sensible and fun. Thank you!
