Stained Glass by Donna-June Winchester

Good Morning we are over the hump and heading towards the May long weekend. Wanted to share with you a new design requested by Joanne Marie for a Barrel Cactus with a pink flower I have put in a 5 " pot height 10 " incl. pot. The pink glass in this flower is a special glass called Cranberry English Muffle and is the most expensive glass I have purchased to date $86 sq. ft. Cranberry glass is a red glass made by adding gold salts or colloidal gold to molten glass. Just have to see gold as a component thus the price .. Just love it ! Let me know if you have a certain Cactus you would like to see and I will see what I can come up with. Have a fantastic Day !

Good Morning hope everyone is having a good day so far. I finished up this wolf and cub window the size is 17 x 14 inches. I used some beautiful bright glass to represent the northern lights with the wolf and cub represented with there natural colouring. Love to hear what you think of my color choices and would you do anything different? Have a fantastic day !

Happy Friday ! Weather forecast looks descent this weekend in Calgary and these pretty paintings inspire me to get out in the flower bed. I made these for Cathryn for a grandparents gift for Mothers day. Cathryn had mentioned to me that she had laminated the paintings to give along with the window. What a great Idea and wonderful keepsake ... Kelly had the original Idea and I made my first recreation of a Childs painting into a small stained glass window for her Mom. If I Keep getting orders I will have to give Kelly a commission .. lol ... Everyone have a wonderful Weekend !

Good Morning wanted to share with you a custom order I made for Mothers Day. I recreated a Childs painting in to a stained glass window . This is the second panting I have done and it is such a fun project and wonderful gift to receive. This small window measurements are 7x10 inches. I have a couple more to show you later in the week. Hope everyone had a fantastic Mothers Day ! Its Monday all ready... those weekends are getting shorter. I received a order from Amazon with these sweet little charms in the package. I would like to use on Christmas lights this year but I thought I would try a couple graduation hats also. What do you think ? These would be great for Christmas ornaments on the tree the size is 3x2 inches including tassel also could hang on the rearview mirror priced at $17. I made the tassel out of twisted copper wire and attached to the hat. I also wire wrapped all around the hat for stability that is soldered in bead around the edges of the glass. I want my stained glass to last you a life time I do take the extra steps to make sure that happens. Have a fantastic day !

Happy Friday ! Feel like time is running away on me as was it not just Monday ? Here are a couple new designs top left is a Flamingo with a palm tree on a sandy beach. Next to him is a new feather design made with some beautiful textured glass. Bottom left a new design for a sunflower I used a yellow water glass and textured brown and green for leaves. Next to that is just some Curtness to leave you with for the weekend. Hope everyone has a fantastic Weekend !

Happy Friday Everyone !!! So I did this up for my very Dear Friend Corrie and she has received it and has it hanging in her window. This is a honeycomb with 3-D Bees it also has 5 hooks so it can be adjusted as to how it hangs. Had the Honeycomb made for a week and was a little puzzled how to get the three bees she requested on the Honeycomb and keep the integrity of the piece. I didn't want to do an overlay as how would I see the glass under it ? So I came up with the 3-d bees and it worked out beautifully. She loves it !!!

This is a custom order it is going back East ... It is a memorial piece for a mother to honor her parents Love that stood the Test of time. I am honored to be a part of that ... What a wonderful way to start my Bird Series

Good Morning I made these Bees for a Special order ( Cant show until My Friend Corrie sees it ) I though they are so cute that I would sell individually. They are reinforced with wire on the body and wings the feet are made with a heavy gage wire. These Bees are built to stand the test of time ... 3x3x2 inches $25 each.
