It’s the weekend.. your little store on the corner of the Trail and St. Anne is open, Alice and Teigan are waiting for you! We’ve been bringing out the cold weather gear; gloves, toques, balaclavas, and jackets.come and have a look,... it looks like winter’s comingas they say, there is no bad weather, just dress for the season’s change and be prepared. We’ve received a great shipment of shoes built for the season, the Saucony Peregrine Ice+, the Mizuno Wave Rider GTX, the New Balance 880 GTX, the Brooks Ghost 13 GTXif you want to save few $$$, we also have a selection of the Ghost 12 GTX. We’ve some jackets marked down, some of our older model shoes as well.so come inside, warm up and have a look around.. Not a day goes by when I don’t receive a few phone calls from people wondering when clinics and run club will return..bottom line, not any time soon.I’m hoping for next spring, fingers crossed.as soon as we know, you’ll know. You do have options, lots of themwe have on-line clinics, the virtual run club, a daily Running Room pod castheck, we’re even on YouTube, where various store managers from across the country (and who knows? maybe from our stores in the USA or Honolulu?)pass on advice and suggestions on everything from trying to product... Virtual eventsthis weekend it’s Kathy’s Run for Pancreatic Cancer; Warm Hands Warm Hearts at the beginning of November, the Salvation Army’s Santa Shuffle in December, and then the Brick Resolution Run January 1st, which is about 10 weeks away.. I’ve started to post the occasional vid on our Facebook Page hopefully to help keep up the motivation and enthusiasm . and yeah, sometimes I'm nit sure what I'm going to say next? I’m not sure what’s happening with John’s Annual Toy Run for the St. Albert Kinette’s Christmas Toy Run yet, but we’ll do something virtual, at least collect toys to fill that hamperstarting November 1st we will be collecting those back packs filled with coffee cards, socks, toques and gloves for Warm Hearts Warm Hands. As for January 1st..yes we usually do something from the store and then brunch at the St. Albert Inn.we’ll have to change that up this year..still in the planning stagesI have suggested we have our own virtual made in St. Albert clinic aimed at January 1stI’m sure I can get a few guest speakers interested in virtually helping up.who knows, maybe we can do yoga via Zoom? Anyway, since we re-opened back in May, the steady flow of Run/Walk club people we’ve seen inside and outside the store has been incredible.Sundays are still my favorite day of the week, seeing the cars in the parking lot, and you on the trails and sidewalks has been inspiring..keep that up as the seasons change. as they say," life isn’t about waiting for the storm to passit’s about learning to dance in the rainor, um, the snow.
