I just need you to know that YOU are pretty much the best EVER! If you aren't telling yourself something along these lines everyday then start now! You might not believe it on day 1. You might not believe it on day 10 but when you start changing the way you talk to yourself, you will slowly begin to be kinder to yourself in other ways. . Yesterday, a half-closed FULL bag of strawberry protein powder fell from the top shelf.... my entire outfit, cupboard, counter, bread b...ox, floor etc became coated in it.... I'm STILL finding it in dishes in the cupboard. . But do you know what I did about it? Somehow, I laughed it off . I was frustrated at the waste of powder, the money wasted. I was mad that it now gave me yet another thing to clean in the day. I was embarrassed because it happened right in front of my husband! Ugh! . BUT I'm so thankful that over the course of having two little boys to teach about life and frustrations and being kind to ourselves that I've grown right along with them. It's okay to drop the protein powder (or the entire box of shreddies....) all over the floor. . Let's look at it as a reminder to ourselves to slow down and take some deep breaths. Long weekends. . The first big one is coming! . Were still (mostly) stuck at home.... . This weekend can be a simple family weekend, with the same old routine OR you can play it up as a big event, as if you were still working and this really was a three day break! . Step 1 - pick a day and throw the rules and routines out the window . Step 2 - plan at least one special dinner (we're doing ribs on Sunday, slow cooked for 2 hours and crisped up on the BBQ) .
