This is what frustrates me about the saddle industry. Both of these saddles are "full quarter horse bars" with 7" gullets (as correctly measured between the co...ncho's and listed as such by the manufacturers). But clearly the difference in flare and bar angle is huge! Saddle on the right is a Martin and the saddle on the left is a Charmayne James by Cactus. Why can't we buy saddles by bar angle????? **edited to say - I didn’t take this pic - found it on FB about 4 years ago from someone who forwarded it. What is mink oil? Mink oil is a paste we use here at Stampede Tack to waterproof and condition leather! It is an excellent product and staple in leather care! Putting mink oil on your leather boots can help water proof and condition them, however as you can see, it can alter and darken the color of leather so it is important to always test out on a small, hidden spot of your boots to see how your leather reacts to the mink oil. Different colors of leather and finishes can all react to the mink oil differently, so if you have any questions about the way to take care of your boots, let us know and we will be happy to answer and help you out! We want you to get a good life out of your boots and starting with a good leather conditioner will go a long way!
