Over the weekend, we held our Annual Turkey Pie Fundraiser. This year, with Covid-19, we did things a bit differently. Working with our local Health Inspector we were able to hold the fundraiser and be smart and safe. Thank you to all our volunteers! Our church is amazing because of all your hard work, dedication, and faithfulness. Thank you to everyone who bought turkey pies! We hope you enjoy them!

The air is heavy with grief this week personal grief and community grief. In Nova Scotia, where there is less than two degrees of separation, it may prove dif...ficult to find anyone who is not either directly or indirectly connected to one of the 22 murder victims. And, rare to find someone who is not experiencing some form of grief, whether it is because of the grotesque assault on the Maritime community and everything it stands for, or as a result of COVID-19. As each new name of the murdered arises, a fresh wave of shock and grief follows. In the space of all the grief, heartache, anger and fear, this blessing is offered for all broken hearts. And remember, today it's #WearRedFriday in honour of all RCMP officers, but especially for Constable Heidi Stevenson who cannot be honoured with the traditional full regimental funeral because of Covid-19.

As we enter into this sacred weekend, our digital services will be a little different to more closely resemble the pattern of these days. Tonight, for Maundy Th...ursday, we invite you to join the Rev Dr Ann for a homily reflecting on the Maundy Thursday service of a past year, and some thoughts on how that sense of service is still reflected in these times. For Good Friday tomorrow, the Rev Dr Iain offers the Celebration of the Lords Passion with participation of clergy from across our Diocese. In lieu of an Easter Vigil on Saturday, our own Dean Scott invites you to join him for the Vigil of the Resurrection. In addition, the Rev Dr Iain will be sharing a sermon for Easter Eve. All of the above will be available here on our Diocesan Facebook page as well as on our Diocesan YouTube Channel at 7pm on their respective days. Finally, Sunday at 10 we invite you to join our Diocesan Bishop in a celebration of Holy Eucharist from our Cathedral for Easter Sunday, with the Rev Canon Alex preaching the Easter sermon of St John Chrysostom. While this is a new way of encountering Easter this year, in new and challenging times, we hope you are able to join us for some or all of these liturgies, and we pray you find new hope in this offering of the resurrection story.
Join Rev. Dr. Ann Salmon as she shares her Maundy Thursday sermon.
