Come eat pie with us! National Affirming Day and PIE Day are coming up on March 14! PIE stands for Public, Intentional, Explicit - standards we hold ourselves to as a welcoming, inclusive, and affirming community. We have to be public, intentional, and explicit about our inclusivity if we want members of the LQBTQ+ community to know that they are always welcome at St. Andrew’s. Pie will be available for all to take home after church on the 14th. Free will donations will be ac...cepted to support the Gifts with Vision LGBTIQ2S+ Global Solidarity Fund, which strives to advance the rights, dignity, and inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, and Two-Spirit people around the world. This work is crucial, since homosexuality is still illegal in 68 countries, and rates of violence perpetrated against trans people worldwide are alarmingly high. This fund has supported international consultations with religious leaders, safe shelters, and sponsorships of LBGTQ+ refugees to Canada. We need pie bakers!
