"I really enjoy this; at my old church I helped with stages for summer camps. It's great to get to do this again and this time with less cartoon animals in the design."... Today is Installation Sunday! Brad Bauer becomes our lead Pastor today, to mark this milestone in our Community we will be having drive thru communion immediately following the digital service (approx. 11:03am). Hop in the car and come to the building where our leadership team will direct you as Pastors Brad & John serve communion. Sermon Title Our Communities’ Lead Pastor Passage - Ephesians 4:1113 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Mission of the Month UB Camps As camps did not happen this year, we have an opportunity to take our resources and share them in a way that blesses our community and neighbourhood. As a Community going forward, stepping into what is next we are looking to open the building for in-person gatherings before the end of the year. This includes anytime whether it is during the week with your community group or on a Sunday to watch the live recording happen. A couple of things will have to take place for all this to happen successfully where we meet the guidelines mandated by the federal and provincial government including the public health guidelines from the region. 1. All meetings will need to be scheduled so that we do not have multiple groups in the building at the same time. 2. Here is a way you can contribute to our community - sign up for the training to learn the procedures that have to be followed such as; set up of the building allowing us to gather safely, guiding people as they enter and exit the building, cleaning procedures. This Sunday is Installation Sunday! When Pastor Brad becomes our Lead Pastor. Pastor John along with the leadership team have worked hard to come up with a plan to celebrate this milestone in our congregation. A plan that allows everyone in our community to feel safe as they participate. Below is an outline of what is happening and how you can take part.... 1. Connect into the worship, announcements and special message from our Bishop, Brian Magnus https://stanleyparkchurch.online.church/. 2. Listen to Pastors Brad and John on Facebook Live, as they share about this time of transition, the pivot of COVID and their shared vision moving forward. 3. Follow the instructions they will give at the end for our drive thru Communion. 4. Get; your masks and as many from your bubble as you want to bring into your automobile and drive to the church. 5. Enter off of Graber Place at the gravel parking lot, follow the signs/ people who will direct you to Pastor Brad, Katie and the absolutely adorable Corbin! Don't leave your car but do leave a card. We will have a box available. 6. From there you will be directed to drive and pick up the "to go" communion elements and exit the property. Please note: Everyone is to stay in their vehicle and wear a mask as they come through the line. There will not be any parking or getting out of your vehicle. Obviously this is not the ideal Installation Service but we want everyone in our community to feel safe as they participate. We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible. May you experience the peace & love of God through the Holy Spirit this week as you embark on your after Summer routine.
