Grade 2 was busy reviewing the states of matter (solids and liquids). What happens to water when it’s exposed to cold air? It freezes! On a day like today it happened very fast. Students created ice sun catchers using items found in nature. Come by the school and view them on the primary fence.

Valentine’s Day 2021 Once again, we are going to make the best of our COVID-19 year and holiday changes! Please note some of the changes to our usual festivities. These considerations have been made in conjunction with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. We can still exchange Valentine cards! We will ensure that students thoroughly wash their hands before and after giving and receiving them. Physical distancing will also be in place and also maintained while distributi...ng. Valentines are not required to sit for 72 hours, they do not have to be sent to the school in advance. There will only be classroom cohort celebrations. Please do not send any homemade treats to be shared. Family treats will not be permitted for distribution however, individuals may pack their own treats for a snack for their child. Activities will be done within the classroom cohort, adhering to all public health measures. All craft activities will be individual in nature. No parent/guardian visitors, even outdoors See more
