We had another wonderful weekend at the parish! Those of you who joined us virtually might have noticed the new view of the church - thanks to Deacon TJ for the new camera! (See 2nd photo) Finally, as @frtimtheriault mentioned, please continue to follow all COVID precautions whenever you’re in the parish. We’ve included a prayer by Rita Ferrone from PrayTellBlog.com to help us remember how important it is to wear our masks (see photos 3-6)

As the Waterloo Region moves into the red zone on Monday, we made the decision to postpone our last guest speaker event until the new year when we can gather in... person. Anita Healy has been working diligently to prepare this talk and we decided there would be more value in holding an in person event with small group discussion and Q&A. In the meantime, stay tuned for virtual weekly Advent meet ups each Monday 8-9pm EST starting November 30th as we watch a short YouTube clip followed by a discussion.

This weekend we celebrate The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe . If you haven’t heard the news - Fr. Wayne Lobsinger, former associate pastor of our parish has been named Auxiliary Bishop of our Diocese! Even as we enter the Red Zone, we continue to offer our regularly scheduled Masses - 5PM today and 8,10 & Noon tomorrow. ... As always, we continue to follow the Covid precautions & we remind those who are medically able that you must wear a face covering that covers your nose, mouth and chin at all times in the church (except when receiving the Eucharist, of course). If you are feeling at all unwell, you are asked to stay home and join us virtually for the 10AM Mass (link in our bio). It’s hard to believe that the #YouthMinistry Lenten Project started so many months ago now! Today’s the day that everything that was so generously donated is being delivered to Canadian Food For Children. Thanks to the young people who worked on this project and to the incredible generosity of our parishioners! These personal care items will certainly be appreciated.

A reminder to our young people preparing for Confirmation this year - we’re meeting in the church (or online) at 7PM tonight. One caregiver is asked to accompany each candidate. Remembrance Day Prayer God our Father, Your Son Jesus gave up His life to free us from the power of sin and death. He showed us that the greatest love is in giving up one’s life for others. Today, we remember those who fought and died for our freedom. We ask You to bless and console them together with their families. Help us to understand the sacrifices they made in leaving their loved ones to face the horrors of war. May we never forget their generosity. May Your Holy Spiri...t give us the courage to resist evil in all its forms and show us how to be peacemakers through prayer and action, lest we forget those who fought, suffered and died that we might have the freedom and peace we enjoy today.
