Star Dome is going to be at Fort Whyte on January 14th.

Sadly, we have had to cancel tonight's event at Fort Whyte due to the weather. Hopefully, we will be able to reschedule for some time in the near future.

What a perfect night for an eclipse. Warm, calm and bug free! Got to try out my new camera adapter on my telescope to take some pictures.

Lunar Eclipse Reminder: A lunar eclipse will happen on Sunday, September 27th and we will have a great view of the event from Winnipeg! The Harvest moon will start to enter the Earth's shadow just as it rises in the east around 7:10pm CDT. It will be completely in the darkest part of the shadow beginning around 9:10pm CDT. By 12:30am it will all be over.... Make a note of how dark the moon will appear and how red. Some eclipses are darker than others and is related to how much dust and pollution are in the Earth's atmosphere at the time. A dark moon means a dirtier atmosphere.

The new projector is amazing. So much brighter and so many more stars! Spent a great morning at Linden Christian School exploring the solar system with the grade 6 classes there.

After nine years, almost 2,500 shows and more than 50,000 visitors, the old projector finally died. RIP old friend.
