YES! Classes are running! All SVRSS students have an active email and TEAMs account. Each class is being provided during the regular schedule supported by Teach...ers, EAs and the rest of the SVRSS staff. We know online learning is different and can be challenging in ways we are only beginning to understand. We know avoidance may seem easier. But if your son/daughter has told you they have 2 weeks off, or that they have nothing to do, or that they don’t have to attend every class (gotta love teenagers ) please feel free to call the school and speak to a member of our Learning Support Team. UPDATE: Fire appears to have been contained to one structure and is under control and mostly extinguished. An ongoing fire of a building at Spruce Products Ltd is keeping fire crews busy tonight. Traffic in the area has been very high. Please remember that this is an active and dangerous scene and to stay out of the area. This is especially true on the road leading to the mill entrance which has been very congested making it difficult for emergency crews to safely access the site!

Swan River RCMP investigate fatal two-vehicle collision On September 24, 2020, at approximately 10:25 pm, Swan River RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 10, just south of Bowsman, Manitoba. A vehicle going north on Highway 10, collided head-on with a vehicle travelling south on Highway 10. The driver and sole occupant of the northbound vehicle, a 24-year-old male from the RM of Mountain, was pronounced deceased at the scene.... The driver and sole occupant of the southbound vehicle, a 41-year-old female from Swan River, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. Swan River RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate. See more
