Starke contracting LTD

Well, my passion of fine carpentry in high school paid off. It was Nice to work with my apprentice and use techniques that I haven’t used in awhile. Zero exposed fasteners, epoxy live edge and the ability to be separated into five pieces proved to make this project an exciting challenge.

Working with my apprentice. We are building a live edge king bed. We have taken this project from raw logs and milling the acacia for the head,foot and side boards. I had an old growth fir beam from a project several years ago. We turned the fir into the legs. One of the pieces had a natural valley in it, we poured a dark epoxy with graphite flakes. Not the easiest project I’ve tried to take on lol. More photos to come.

Exterior renovation

440’ of cedar fencing and 300’ of cedar privacy screen. A few other cedar projects.

Roof top deck with water issues. The damage was pretty invasive. 80% of the joists were rotten. We have reframed and fixed multiple issues. New torch membrane, new window and sliders, new porcelain exterior tiles and new siding throughout. Last few final touches are remaining to be installed.

Beautiful cedar fence project. Staining is complete.
