Heads up RAD ballet exams will be on March 5 - 6 Waiting on the schedule however we should know soon ADAPT jazz and tap exams: February 27,28 March 1st Schedule has been sent out... No classes on Monday February 15th...enjoy family day Grand reopening is Tomorrow...see everyone then :)

Congratulations to all who participated in Inspire Virtual Competition !!!!

Good morning everyone :) Just some reminders and some great news :) - Reminder this weeks theme is to decorate yourself in starz colours (ex. garland, tinsel...) Dancers must still wear dancewear... - Next weeks theme is "elf yourself" - We also have a Christmas surprise in the works for the parents :) - We have a photo contest. We've put a winter display in front of the studio. To enter the contest, take a picture in front of the display and tag "Starz In Motion Dance Studio" on facebook or instagram and you are entered. The prize will be handed out the last week of dance. - Any dancewear that was on sale this weekend will continue to be on sale until Christmas. Please contact me to arrange a time to come in to purchase a gift for your dancer or send an email :) - We had dancers yesterday participate in the Kiwanis Toy Drive telethon and wanted to thank all who participated - Inspire Dance Challenge Virtual competition This weekend there were some dances entered in a virtual competition. What a success and a lot of fun. Below I've listed the results (Thanks to the Inspire team for making it so much fun :) ) First, congrats to the dancers as we received the second highest scoring studio in comp level 1 - Goody Goddy (High Gold medal) - Chiquitita (Platinum medal and 3rd place overall for junior competitive novice soloist) - Not Enough (Platinum medal and a special award) - Bonnie & Clyde (Platinum and 3rd place overall novice duo/trio) - Awoo (platinum medal and 1st place duo/tio in small fry division - comp level 1) - Sunny Side Of The Street (Ultimate Inspiration Medal and Most inspiring of the session award) - Get Happy (Ultimate inspiration medal ) - Phoenix (Ultimate Inspiration award and 2nd place in the category - Someday (Ultimate Inspiration award and 2nd place overall teen soloist in comp level 1) - Marching parade (Ultimate Inspiration award) - Tell Me About it #2 (Ultimate Inspiration award and the most inspiring of the session award) You dancers are amazing as well as all the parents out there supporting your child and the Starz studio Have an amazing week :) Miss Chantal

Hi everyone By now most of you have watched Doug Fords press conference. Renfrew County will be on lockdown. Many of you are asking about dance and to be honest I need some time. So many things may change within the next 2 weeks. When he previously put ottawa stores on lockdown he reopened the dance studios. Theres many things unclear and still up in the air so please bear with me and keep practicing :) We will get through this, we are awesome and resilient and this gives ...you time to practice lots :) Ill send an email out as information rolls in Miss Chantal

Just want to say thank you to all the dancers and their parents for your continued support in keeping everyone safe.
