I always LOVE doing big transformations! I should’ve measured how much we actually cut off, but it would’ve been at least 7!! Wanting less maintenance and to get rid of the brashness blonde, I did a whole head of baby lights, root smudge, gloss and tone at the sink. Sarah Bownes has some mean talent!! She’s knocked all of her colours out of the park this week!! This client wanted to darken up a bit for winter, getting closer to her natural while still having some dimension with an ash toning gloss throughout.

Another great morning spent in the salon. I love how fall brings on the deep, warm colours. I did a rich mahogany gloss and a shadow root at the sink. In 4-6 weeks as her regrowth comes through, her root will blend seemlessly for a very low maintenance colour for months to come. ... I had my Monday morning colour open up if anyone needs? This young lady has got to be one of the sweetest teenagers I’ve met in a long time. Her hair needed a little TLC after some box dyes got the best of her hair (it happens to the best of us!) With 4 different tones and colour shades of banding, I applied a whole colour reset. Finished off with a warm chocolate base very close to her natural blended with a soft beige towards her ends. I had my work set out with this head of hair this morning. Previously coloured not by me. The hair had tons of banding, uneven colours, blotches of random colours underneath, areas of orange. So keeping the integrity of her hair since it wasn’t in the best shape, I was able to start to even out her colour, toning out tons of the brass and taking a couple inches off to make it healthy again. One more appointment and it will be back to a perfect tonal blonde! ... Hair by Shila Bishop

Not very often do you have someone with their natural, untouched hair colour come in. This new client of mine, wanted something a bit lighter but without high maintenance. Softened the bulk by adding some nice layers and taking off 2.5 of her length. Hair by Shila Bishop
