Can you think of other things you wish you had learned in school? Please read this post and the meme before commenting: This post is in the past tense (what I l...earnED in school AND what I wish I HAD learnED). There are no references to current practices. There is no reason to feel defensive - this post doesn't suggest that you are not doing some of the wish list for this artist. We know that school boards in different regions in Canada are incorporating some aspects of mental health awareness. Is it enough for all students? Is it enough for students with mental health disabilities? Those are important questions that all education professionals need to ask of themselves and the education system. The answer: Humility. We all need to do much more. The lives, health and education of young people depend on it. #mentalhealtheducation #mentalwellness #selfcare #ymhc See more

This has been a very challenging year for all families, but it has been especially hard for those families whose children are struggling with mental illness. We... welcome news by Minister of Health Christine Elliott & Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions Michael Tibollo prioritizing the mental health of children, youth, and families with $147 million to address the impact the pandemic is having on the mental health of families. Of this funding, $30 million will greatly support community child and youth mental health providers to deliver essential mental health and addiction services which are facing increased demand since the pandemic began. #kidscantwait

Hot of the press 2020 challenged child and youth mental health agencies to quickly adapt and provide virtual services like never before. In response, we partn...ered with Children's Mental Health Ontario to conduct a province-wide evaluation to find out what’s working, what’s not and how organizations can improve virtual services and offerings now and post-pandemic. Our report is out now https://bit.ly/2Q432Uk
