St. Catharines NDP Riding Association 09.11.2020

On November 20th of each year, we recognize #TransDayofRemembrance. We encourage everyone to take a moment and pause to remember the lives of trans individuals that we have lost, in Canada and around the world, due to hatred and violence in all forms. While we take time today to remember those that we have lost, this day continues to show the strength and resilience that our trans community continues to have. Let us reflect on the hardships, acts of violence, hate, and barri...ers to employment and housing that transgender, non-binary, two-spirited, and other gender diversities continue to face. Let us remember that the lives of our trans community matter and we can only work to providing safer and braver spaces for them. Please find below an event link for tonight's virtual vigil, starting at 7pm. Hosted by OUTniagara , PFLAG - St.Catharines & Niagara and their community partners. https://www.facebook.com/events/995321590992422/?ti=ls

Ford's Conservatives made it clear: their priority is protecting the executives of long-term care homes. Our priority is protecting residents, families, and workers. Bill 218 should never have passed, we are committed to repealing it.

Today, we pause to remember the sacrifices that our Veterans made so we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. #lestweforget2020 #wewillrememberthem

Today, on #LouisRielDay we recognize and celebrate Louis Riel’s legacy as a founder of the province of Manitoba, a father of confederation and a champion of the rights of the Métis people.
