We are experiencing problems with the air conditioning unit. The outside motor has been overheating and cutting out, then cutting back in when it cools. Patrick Anderson has been working on it, but the system is quite old and replacement parts are hard to find. Thank you to all our members for your patience.
We are open once again! The card reader has been activated, all signage is up, sanitizer dispensers are full! All we ask is that all members make themselves aware of the Covid-19 restrictions that are posted in the gym, and make every effort to comply with them. Failure to do so could result in our facility being closed again, and we don't want that! Please be aware that the water fountain has been turned off, so please bring your own water bottle.
Hello to all our members. Hopefully you are finding ways to continue working out and staying fit while we are closed. We have had many inquiries about a possible reopening date. An email was sent to [email protected], which handles all Covid-19 questions. In their reply, they referred us to the original provincial plan: Phase 1 - May 4, Phase 2 - June 1, future phases (which include gyms) to be implemented on a 3 - 4 week basis. Based on that, and unless something changes, we probably won't be allowed to reopen until late June. Wish we had better news. Take care and be safe.
Because of the state of emergency declared by the province, the Fitness Centre will be closed until further notice. Once we get approval to reopen, all active memberships will be extended by the length of time we are closed.
