City of London Steampunk Society's Annual Gala 21.01.2021

Greetings: It is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancellation of this year’s Gala on 21APR18 at the Brookside Banquet Centre in London, ON. Although we enjoy all the extra Likes on our Social Media pages and the sheer interest in the event, this year we were just not able to sell enough tickets. We simply cannot run a successful event on Likes alone, we need the monetary commitment from people and that just did not happen this year.... The Committee concluded we could not create the type of event that would meet our standards and measure up to our reputation based on the past years’ Gala events based on the low number of actual tickets sold. We would not have been able to properly fulfill our commitment to Steampunk fans and devoted supporters of Community Living London, our chosen charity each year. We remain committed to this Annual Gala, the Steampunk Community and to our fundraising efforts for Community Living London. We are confident that we will be able to overcome the challenges we faced this year and bring you a bigger and better Gala in the future. Again, we are truly sorry about not being able to execute our event and any unfulfilled expectations that this may cause. A full ticket refund will be issued to those of you who already bought your tickets well in advance for this year’s Gala. We hope to see you at any of our monthly events like the Pub Nights, Workshops and Tinker-Trade & Teas. So be sure to check our social media pages often for details! Cheers!
