Stellar Curling Club 28.12.2020

Practice Only until January 24 Today the province announced that the current sport regulations (originally announced on December 16) will remain in place for at least another two weeks. Sports can continue to practice or train with groups of up to 25 without social distancing. The number of 25 includes all participants in the sporting activity, (coaches, trainers, etc.). Games, competition, and events are not permitted, so all teams and training groups are to be consistent w...ithin their own personnel. These regulations apply to the entire province. Stellar Curling Club regular game times will now be practice sessions until such time as we can resume games.

Thursday, December 17th stick curling at Stellar curling club had a few surprises. Young Ducky George made his stick debut. Tony took him under his wing and they defeated Clarence and Jordy by a bunch (not sure the final score but thinking it was a double digit loss). The other surprise came in the matchup of Steve and Rod against Roger and Jeff. Steve finally came through with a very close 1 stone victory and had to dig deep into the wallet to buy a beverage for his opponent Roger. It was very cold on the ice today. Jordy said the heater was not working very well today...

Stellar Curling Club 18.11.2020

A great game on Wednesday, December 16th. Final score Scott’s Birdies defeated Steve’s Stay Tuned by 1. Skip Scott was getting ready for the big match against the Nix team at Bluenose and team Steve was looking for their first win... however the Ace of spades came up short, and we recorded another loss for the books. With the loss, mate Mr. Sutherland scrunched his shoulders and quoted we lost tonight, however I’ll be beating those bowling dudes in Thursday’s match. Mate Lou on the winning team said, another stepping stone towards becoming a Skip... Looking foward to a stick game on Thursday!
