Hi Everyone! We have reached full capacity for our 2018 Box program! Due to the volume of responses, we did a first come, first serve sign up. We truly have been blown away at how much interest people had for signing up! We would love to grow the box program in the years to come in order to better get our local food out to Port Alberni. We would like to offer those of you who expressed interest to email [email protected] with the subject waitlist so that we can start an expansion list for next year. Thank you all again, and please come visit our newly formed farmer collective at Spirit Square Farmers' Market! Saturdays 9-12.

Hi Everyone, My partner Eli and I are hoping to grow some Mistral Gris (heritage chicken) meat birds this year, and are committing to feeding them only Organically grown feed, as well as put them on a field that is currently sown with clover and vetch (which they love to eat) Are any of you here interested in purchasing any? The cost would be based the same as other farms who sell chickens with Organic feed, so will be around the $6.5/LB mark as the cost of Organic feed is so much higher. We would require a downpayment a head of time to ensure commitment as well as to help cover the cost of the food as the chickens mature. There is plently of time to think on it, as we are hoping to get the chicks around mid March. Just wanted to see if there was any interest! All birds would be happily raised at our place, on Steller Jay Farm.
