As the 44th season of Stenson Family Market has come to a close, we’d like to send a great big thank you to everyone who helped make it one of the most successful seasons ever. From our family to yours, thank you for shopping at our market. We are so grateful to have so many amazing, loyal customers. Although the season has ended for this year, we are working hard behind the scenes preparing for next year. It’s definitely going to be a great one with lots of fresh, locally an...d Ontario grown produce. Happy Thanksgiving Weekend from Stenson Family Market. We’re open 9:00am - 6:30pm all weekend. Lots of pumpkins, gourds, hay bales, and corn stocks to choose from. We have locally grown corn, squash, brussel sprouts, peppers, turnip, cauliflower, peppers, yams, carrots, beets, onions, potatoes and tomatoes. Cortland, Honey Crisp and Mac apples are so good this time of year and we have them all. Great to see Mike and his grand daughter Loretta who came by for a visit to check out the pumpkins and gourds. Beautiful season at Stenson’s Market. And yes, yes, yes.....we have Shed Bakery butter tarts and jams, honey from Burke’s and Maple Syrup from Woodleigh Farms. Come for a visit. It’s back......corn from McLean’s.

It’s back!!! Locally grown corn from McLean’s Farm. Come get it while it lasts. Also, we have spaghetti squash, pepper squash, red and white onions, brussel sprouts, green beans, red and green peppers, beets, potatoes and many more fall vegetables. Still getting peaches and pears from Niagara and our Mac, Honey Crisp and Cortland apples from Cobourg are sooooo delicious. If you’re making chili sauce or salsa we have field tomatoes from McLeans. Fall mums, pumpkins and decorative gourds......we have lots. Orange, white, smoothies, pie pumpkins in all sizes. Shed Bakery Buttertarts....do I have to say more...they are the yummiest!!!!! Exciting times at Stenson’s Family Market. Over 80 mums arrived today plus we have mini gourds and pumpkins, straw bales and bushel baskets for sale. In addition, our fresh locally grown yellow sweet corn, beans, beets, Brussel sprouts, egg plant, heirloom carrots, onions and red mini potatoes will brighten up any table. Who knew!!!! Eggplant is usually prepared as a culinary vegetable but really it’s a fruit. Eggplant is classified as a berry because it contains small, edible seeds. Eggplants also vary in size and are a native to India where it grew wild. Just arrived this morning our beautiful eggplants will add to any meal. We have a great egg plant recipe to share with you. Also, here today are Niagara concord grapes. So delicious... if you haven’t tried them come see us. You won’t be disappointed. ‘Mums the word’ ......but not at Stenson’s Family Market. Over 50 beautiful multi coloured mums came in today. Market owner Carley Stenson dropped by to enjoy the beauty of the mums and Danielle and Maggie will be caring for them until they’re gone. Come see them! It’s worth the drive.
