A ‘Double End’ deal is when one brokerage represents both the buyer and the seller in a real estate transaction. The technical terms for a ‘Double end’ Deal are... ‘Multiple Representation’ or ‘Dual Agency’. For example, if you buy a home through the agency that has the home listed for sale - It’s a double end. Some people feel it’s impossible for a single agent to represent both the buyer and the seller with fairness in a double end, so they would rather have a separate realtor from another brokerage. Other people prefer working with the listing agent and seek out dual agency and double end deals. At JMRE, when we represent both the buyer and the seller, we assign separate sales representatives to each side to ensure fairness.
