1st day of full sun... it's rained here forever! Up at 6 am, coffee in the garden. Errands done. Woke up menfolk, and worked in garden for 4 hrs, then 1 hr nap in my hammock. Now a little sunburnt but adore the muscle ache of hardwork, and lazy feeling of napping in the sunshine listening to birds.... Now ready to play in my art studio, about to get first layer down on my very FIRST painting of 2020! I always take Jan & Feb off as a break after holiday market/show season. Then in March I get going... but this year I have had zero feels for art. My soul has been so heavy I felt like my art abandoned me. An artist who cannot paint was crippling. So much inspiration and ideas,but no heart for it... until today! Wish me luck all!

In 2017 my husband and I went to Venice Italy as I had a piece of art in the opening of the Imago Mundi exhibit Great & North. I was interviewed on film, on my view being a Canadian artist, and we toured Venice on foot... 126 km walked in a week lol... then I purchased this from a local artist painting on the street. Once we were home I had it framed and as I walk past it daily my heart feels full, I remember Venice, and I remember we celebrated our wedding anniversary there... with the grand opening. I love having my banner print of my original Geo I in my bedroom window . I can always see it from the road as we drive past, and when the sun is shining it creates almost a kaleidoscope pattern on the walls! ....
