Happy fall morning to all the folks on the Hill!! This is a reminder that the 1st of 2 Fall leaf pickups will occur this Monday October 26th with the subsequent on Nov 9th. Here are a few, actually, several guidelines to consider. ONLY compostable PAPER bags will be accepted. Collection is expected to coincide with regular garbage/recycling days. Pile compostable material separately from regular garbage. Leaves should not be raked into gutters.... Loose leaves will not be collected. Small, tied bundles of brush will be collected. Leaves will not be collected for composting outside of the specified collection period. Limbs/branches are to be separated from other refuse so they can be shredded. Branches should be no bigger than 5 cm in diameter x 1.5 m in length (2’’ x 5’) and loose brush must be tied in bundles. See more

Lian-Valcour Park construction gets underway...at last!! City crews have started cutting an access trail to the park site, off the end of Valcour, to enable vehicles to do site testing and prepare for work on the walking trails planned for the park. Tenders for work on park trails have been let with trail construction planned for October 2020. Yay!!
Hub program puts Fredericton Police Force ahead of the curve in serving the public!
Council will be considering adoption of the Odell Park and Killarney Lake Park plans at a meeting shortly. These plans are the result of extensive public consultation and are aimed at striking a constructive balance in park uses. The city website has the plans available for review.
Sad but true....COVID-19 has caused the City to close the Wilmot Splash Pad for this year. It's just too risky and hard to manage, safely!!
