I respect Stephen Horsman for his hard work as a full time MLA and a north sider who cares about his constituents. He always answers his phone and goes the e...xtra mile to help someone in need. I have even seen him go above and beyond to get people help from the right government offices, you see him out walking in the neighborhood asking your concerns even when there is no election and how he can help. With him being a dedicated north sider and not having to operate a business on the side he is there for you . Make sure to have your voice heard, and get out and vote tomorrow so we can have him back as our MLA . See more

Tomorrow voters go to the polls and Monday night at 8pm, the election is over. In the Fredericton region as well as the other ridings in the province we will de...cide who we want to represent us in the legislature and who is best to get the important work done in our community. That is when the real work will begin here in our community. In Fredericton-North we need a MLA that has a proven track record in our community, in and out of politics. We want that person to be available for not just the big issues but for all the issues. Stephen B Horsman in the 6 years he has represented us has walked this riding multiple times, knocked on every door and spoke to almost every person who lives here. He has helped people with getting a medicare card, he has helped single mothers get assistance and has shared faithfully the success stories of individuals in this community. Stephen is positive, engaging and has worked hard for us. Remember the small bridge over the Nashwaak River at the end of Union St in Devon. For years was a rutted dangerous mess. As soon as Stephen was first elected he fixed that bridge. It is now safe, smooth and it does not damage our vehicles anymore. Right in the heart of Fredericton-North is the Bill Thorpe walking bridge. That bridge is a vital recreational link that connects the north and south of the city. It provides scenic views of the Wolastoq River that all enjoy. When that bridge needed costly repairs Stephen Horsman was the MLA that got the funding from the province to make sure that bridge was repaired properly so we could all continue to use it. When Stephen was the deputy premier he secured $200 million dollars for a major renovation and expansion for the Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital. This ensured that the DECH would continue to meet the medical needs of the region and it provided much needed jobs at a time. He also worked hard in securing a traffic circle at Two Nations Crossing on the Ring Rd. Not only is it safer there now for motorists but it is much more convenient for accessing Two Nations Crossing over to Cliff St. Fredericton-north needs a MLA that has worked hard for the community and who will continue to work hard for us. That person is Stephen Horsman his record proves that.

I’m incredibly thankful for the numerous phone calls and emails I have received from Northsiders pledging their support and thanking me for all of my work. As a resident for the past 30 years in Fredericton North, I am the only candidate who lives in Fredericton North. I love the Northside and care about the people who live here. Here’s just a few highlights of what has been achieved over the past six years as I worked for this area:... Advocated for the best quality of life for our seniors - some of the results of this work include: $4.6 million dollars in support for renovations and more beds at the York Care Centre; collaborated on a strategic plan to bring increases in wages for caregivers and met with representatives of Shannex to promoting the Northside which now houses Neill Hall, a new licensed long term care nursing home and retirement living home on Cliffe Street; Collaborated with the federal government and delivered a ten-year $300 million dollar contract to invest in affordable housing for all of New Brunswick; Delivered on a commitment to affordable housing units for the homeless, low income families and persons with disabilities throughout Fredericton - a notable one being St. Mary’s Street near Highland Avenue; Partnered with three levels of government for $3.9 Million in repairs and upgrades to the Bill Thorpe walking bridge; Delivered on improved infrastructure for safety with a completed roundabout on Two Nations Crossing and Route 105; Established a midwifery demonstration site on MacLaren Avenue; Supported a community garden at St. Mary’s First Nation; Invested in critical PPE infrastructure to keep people safe working at the Joint Economic Development Agency (JEDI) on St Mary’s Street; Supported renovations and infrastructure at the St Mary’s Anglican Church on McElvoy Street and the KinsClub on School Street; Invested in renovations and upgrades to Hayes farm, a community hands-on experience teaching about farming; Supported a drop-in support centre at Christ Central Church on Clarke Street; Delivered weekly meals personally through Meals on Wheels to seniors and others throughout Fredericton North. With your help - I can continue to be your voice as your MLA and leverage even more opportunities for a healthy and prosperous Fredericton North.

Fredericton North is more than just an electoral district to me - it’s my home. I’m proud to live in Fredericton North, to shop local here, to gas up my car here, and to serve as your MLA. On September 14, I ask for your vote so I can continue working hard for you and our community.

Great sun shiny Saturday morning. Visited the North Side Market this morning and chatted with people about the day and the election. Also spoke with two young ...fellows who will be marching to Saint John to help raise funds for Make A Wish Foundation. Hope everybody has a great day and stay safe. See more
