Stepping Stones is now accepting registrations! But what will that look like with Covid guidance in place? We are living in such a strange time. Plans are in place to mitigate the risks associated with COVID-19 and we will open our doors on January 11. The teachers have been working hard to prepare the classrooms and adapt to new operating guidelines. We will make changes as necessary in order to move with the flow of information coming from the Ministry of Education and Pub...lic Health. Families of children registered in one of our classes will receive information via email regarding orientation, reopening, and what to expect. Will things be the same? No, but we are confident that this "new normal will be safe, strong, and something our children will thrive in. I speak on behalf of all the staff when I say that we are excited to have you, we are ready to have you, and we look forward to January 2021 with you. (Miss Sewell, Program Supervisor)

With heavy hearts, sadly the difficult decision has been made that Stepping Stones will not be reopening. We want to thank you all for your help and appreciate all the support from our Stepping Stones community. We also appreciate all the hard work and dedication of the teachers. Stepping Stones in our community, will be missed.

Preschool is an important part of a child's development. It creates a foundation for lifelong learning experiences and a love of learning. More and more scientific research shows the existence of a sensitive period in the development of the brain during the early stages. What Is "Playing?" Playing is exploring, experimenting, discovering, running, hiding, jumping, social skills, conflict resolution, problem solving just to name a few things. True play happens when a child is in control of the action. While playing a child tries, fails or succeeds, adjusts or incorporates new ideas and collaborates with others. Why Play is Important... Play is the way a child tries out their abilities in the world. It is developmentally appropriate, and the experiences fit how the child is growing.

We are excited to announce that our school will be starting the program again Sept 29th!!! We still have a few spots available and are currently taking registrations. We are looking forward to opening again.
