If you want to contribute to your RRSP’s still for the 2020 tax season, this is your last week to do so before the March 1st deadline. After this date, the contribution will go towards the 2021 season. The maximum contribution for 2020 is 18% of your earned (gross) income, up to a maximum of $27,830.00. You can find your maximum by logging into the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website, by phoning the Tax Information Phone Service (TIPS), or on last year’s notice of assessment.... Compound interest is the interest calculated on both the initial sum of money and the interest already gained on it. It can be thought of as interest on interest. This gives the beneficiary a multiplying effect and is why compounding interest is so important.
