My abilities with language are completely inadequate to convey how I feel about the bizarre unfolding Cult of Trump. I can only imagine what would happen in Canada should an elected politician - or any other high-ranking official or person of influence - started calling for extra judicial executions or civil war simply because they did not like the fact that things did not go their way. The fact that behavior such as outlined in the article below, occurs routinely in the Uni...ted States, and no one is ever brought to account for it seems to spur folks to be ever more outrageous with calls for actions, and carrying out those actions, that in a sane and civil society, would be called sedition or worse, treason. Not sure what the end game is. Are Trump and Barr - more than likely Barr and others - attempting to do some sanitizing of the mess they've made prior to the upcoming election or, as the article postulates, is this the beginning of a new dark age?

Interesting perspective. this article may have actually been written by a former policeman - one who appears to have advanced into other fields of study. The article touches on many different facets of our societies other than the alarming statistics and anecdotal evidence surrounding the extra judicial killing and incarceration of Black, Hispanic and First Nations peoples. We know that the rates of incarceration of visible minorities in both the United States and Canada are... completely disproportionate to their actual percentage of the general population. Most of us assume that folks who wind up in the legal system are bad guys. This article advances the idea that the construct of our present society marginalizes entire segments of our population, literally forcing them into situations in which contact with police is inevitable.
