As this year comes to a close, just want to wish everyone a great New Year for 2021. It's been a long and frustrating year so, let's look forward to the New Year and a restart. Enjoy your New Year's Eve and let's go forward with new, fresh ideas in 2021. Be safe, be proud and let's work together.
You have encouraged me with your vote. Thank you for showing your confidence in me and for giving me the opportunity to be your President. Congratulations to all the newly elected Executive Board members and Mike Nickerson as the Business Manager. I look forward to working with you all in this next chapter.
I want to take the time to wish each and everyone Happy Holidays. This is a great time of year to enjoy friends and family. Thanks to all that have cast their ballot and hope that everyone does get a chance to vote. This has been quite the Election and I'm sure you all want this to be over and so we can move forward with great things. It's time to move ahead, do the work that needs to be done and represent all the members of the IUOE727 Paramedics local. Hope you all have a g...reat holiday and are able to spend time with family and friends. Your union is here for you and if you need anything over the holidays, please reach out. Take care of one another and be safe. From my house you yours, Steve
These two documents were put out by the Election committee today in regards to social media content that was posted about Election allegations. It is important that all members know the facts and trust in the process. These memos should clarify what others have been posting against and that the committee has been doing what is proper. I would like to thank Mike Nickerson for asking the International, back in September, about a possible E-vote. This shows that he does listen ...and does take his leadership seriously. He did get a response and it is clearly stated what the International's position was. Thank You Mike for this and the election committee for clarification on what some people had not been aware of. We need to stand together, be united as a union and not divided. We all know some have not received a ballot and that needs to be addressed by the Committee. When you do vote, make sure you vote for who is the most informed and who has the best interests at heart. I want to be part of the change and keep forging new ideas to make ALL of us have a better workplace. Please stay safe and respect one another.
Happy Wednesday, Please have a look at the memo just posted on the blog. It pertains to the ballots and Election process. I have posted a copy as well. Take Care and be safe.
