Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying the long weekend. We have been waiting eagerly to share this story of Steve's Buggy. Looks like this little project is coming to the end. We have been working on this car in the winter months for the last three years. What you are seeing here once was a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle later transformed into a dune buggy in 1979 with a Kellison fibreglass body kit. This car has been cruising Windsor streets for over 40 years! My father bought my b...rothers and I a dune buggy in the late 70's. We grew up in the country and had a blast with it, I always thought it would be great to have another one. Little did I know what I was getting myself into, the hours and money we put into it kind of spiralled out of control. Simon and I welded and created an engine stand. We completely re-wired the car with many more circuits for lighting and a cool sound system. Simon is very knowledgeable about Volkswagen vehicles and is an exceptional technician overall. Having this car in the shape it is currently in made it a lot easier with his experience. Brandon and Jordan, our apprentices spent countless hours with me building new engines, lighting design, interior trim, and creating a new dash panel with accurate gauges. Nothing is worse than running out of gas! This car took a whole new look overall. I shared my ideas with Windsor Metal Services, Andrew and Tom Semanski were a huge help with tube bending and tight welding. Tom especially is very talented, he takes his time until the job is done correctly. It is a family run business and they are fantastic to deal with. Dan Lessard from Rembrants Studios in Tecumseh did an amazing job with air brushing for me this summer, he also does tattoos and is a great guy to work with. (519 739 6006). Muff at Exclusive Sound set us up with a great sound system which helps bring the interior to the next level. They also do remote car staters (519 967 1555). And of course any project with the support of your wife is always great. Michelle knows how much I love this car, although it's not nearly as much as I love her. She's always by my side which includes running the business together and has the toughest job down here. A simple way to put it is being Michelle's husband is like having Christmas everyday. The coolest part of owning this car besides driving it, is the kids. They love it, many kids have had rides over the years and there pictures taken. But it looks like I'm the biggest kid of them all.

Hello everyone, we thought we should end this week off with continuing the same theme as the last post. You are looking at a beautiful 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback. We performed a safety inspection to insure this vehicle is in top condition before finding a new owner. After verifying that the restoration process and all safety concerns were taken care of professionally, we had a hard time letting this one go! This mustang is equipped factory with a 289 cubic inch 4 barrel engine producing 210-289 horsepower. Back in 1966 the basic coupe started at $2,500.

Hello everyone, we will be bringing you back in time this week! You are looking at a 1956 Ford F-100 and 1980 Chevrolet pickup. Ford redesigned the truck in 1956 with styling that would never be seen again along with changing the name from F1 to F-100. It is believed that this change was influenced by the US Air Forces first supersonic fighter jet, the F 100 super sabre. We performed an in-depth safety inspection and are currently doing our part in getting the vehicle back onto the road safely. We have also been restoring the mechanical side of the Chevrolet, replacing various gaskets, tune-up and installing new gauges, ensuring each is reading flawlessly.

They are becoming such great mechanics. They show up everyday on time ready to go. Somedays can be very hectic as our business grows every year and never once have they let me down or complained. So proud of Brandon as he is working two jobs, a father never had a better son. And I cant forget mom who has been helping Michelle with the books and office work. She has endured so much in her life and still insists on coming to work everyday. It means so much to us, shes truly the strongest person I have ever known. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Bezeau family as they find the courage to fight every day to make the best of the situation. You only get one chance on this earth. Steves Auto Service is mourning the loss of Michelles grandmother Genevieve. She was a wonderful person who spread happiness in the lives of everyone she met. Gen and her husband Len were married for 77 years. To see them together made the world a better place. You will be deeply missed. Steves Auto Service will be closed Tuesday, April 23rd to attend her funeral.

You know that friend you can call on any time or day? That friend who will drop everything to listen, genuinely care and make time to help you when you need help? That friend that has been there over and over again that you trust and can count on? Steve, Simon Michelle and Mandy are those friends I include at the top of my list. I trust them, I send my family and my friends to them because I know theyll be treated as well as I am. Thank you Steve and the crew at Steves Auto... Steves Auto Service is proud to welcome Brandon and Jordan who have decided to become Automotive Service Technicians. Jordan has been with us for 2.5 years. He is currently in grade 11 and is enrolled in the OYAP program at Riverside Highschool. He is enthusiastic for his career in the automotive industy. Brandon has been employed here for 4 years. Steve is personally very proud of his son for following in his footsteps. Brandon is registered with the Ontario College of Trades and will officially be an apprentice following graduation in June. Way to go guys!!
