If anybody has any derelict vehicles that they would like to donate to the fire department for practising on please contact us by email or private message we will arrange to have them picked up. Thank you!
Please share...if it helps one person slow down or re-assess, it will be worth it.
Thanks to both the Emergency Services Provider Fund and the Nova Scotia Firefighters 50-50 we've been able to purchase a new thermal imaging camera for our station. This camera replaces our 10+ year old camera and comes with many new features and capabilities. Check out these pictures of the device, of a torch, and of human prints in the snow. This updated technology helps us, help you!... Thank you all!
What does our expansion mean for our customers in 2021? It means that we are now able to offer On-Call Post Incident Decon Services. Meaning you can activate us... during or immediately after incidents (24/7) and we will strive to be at your station within 24 hours of termination of command! So add us to your command protocols, and keep your Firefighters safer this year! See more
Ice is not safe right now, please avoid!
It’s that time of year, keep an eye on the hydrant closest to you!
Whose the lucky winner
A reminder when disposing of wood stove ashes to put them in a metal container, soak, do not leave in container empty as soon as possible, transfer to a fire safe location away from structures and dry vegetation, they are great for adding traction in slippery driveways and in garden soils.
Get ready everyone !!! Santa is on his way
We’re getting ready for Santa’s big night! See you soon!

Dry weather can harden the ground and when events such as hurricanes or storm surges occur it can cause water to pool on the surface rather then quickly absorbed in the ground.
A reminder that fireworks also fall under the burn restrictions if it’s NO BURN it’s no campfires, brush burning, or fireworks! Anything that creates a hot spark is a risk during this drought. Please follow the daily burn restrictions by checking novascotia.ca/burnsafe/ or call 1-855-564-2876
Our thoughts are with the Waterville and District Volunteer Fire Department on the sudden loss of their Deputy Chief, Cathy Cooke. DC Cooke was entering her 40th year of service. Thank you for your service DC Cooke.
