Reminder to wear PURPLE tomorrow

The Kindergarten class welcomed a virtual guest, Donna McMillan, the SD&G library rep, to our classroom for a read-aloud this past week. Mrs McMillan read the story entitled The Little Engine that Could, all while wearing a conductor hat and introducing us to new crafts and a new song, and even a few riddles! What a delight! We look forward to growing this new partnership as we meet again in the coming weeks. The children could be heard throughout the week referring back to this story, and whispering to one another as they tackled challenges, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can.

Junior/Intermediate MEP students took part in some Art & Literacy activities. They learned about fall and why leaves change colour. Then they wrote an acrostic fall/autumn poem and created some beautiful leaf art.

What a varied week we experienced in weather! Some outdoor learning brought indoors (leaf sorting and a look at estimating and number magnitude), and some amazing outdoor weather to compliment a bear hunt put on by Ms. Mac on Friday. What fun in Kindergarten!
