St. George #12 Masonic Lodge 20.11.2020

June 24th is the day Freemasons celebrate The Feast of St. John the Baptist and the following Sunday has traditionally been a time for Masons to attend services... dedicated to the Saint. The first public Grand Lodge of the Grand Lodge of England was created on June 24, 1717 and for many years that day was one of great annual feasting and celebration. St. John the Baptist is one of the two St. Johns to whom Lodges are traditionally dedicated. His message of the need to live righteously and to change one’s character and his association with the need to remain humble and bear witness to the light make him worthy of the esteem in which he is held by Freemasons. An esteem that dates back to our earliest beginnings. This Sunday, our ability to attend the special services dedicated to this Saint has been curtailed. However, this does not diminish the place he holds in our hearts and our history. We look forward to the day we can once again participate in them.
