We are collecting pollen from the bees this year. Pollen is a ball or pellet of field-gathered flower pollen packed by worker honeybees. Bee pollen contains vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, lipids and proteins and is considered by many as an excellent food supplement.

Making some splits to replace our winter losses. Local Queens from Glorybee Apiary, Port Loring installed into their new homes on Saturday. Now we wait a week before we can check to see if the hive has accepted the new Queen.

We get frequently asked questions. One we get in the spring is how our bees did over the winter. We always hope that all of our hives will survive the winter. Unfortunately some hives are not strong going into the winter so it is no surprise when they are unable to make it through until the spring. We lost six hives this year. We plan to split some hives in June to replenish our loss. We still have liquid and creamed honey, comb honey and bee pollen for sale. We offer home delivery in the North Bay area.
