I spent an amazing afternoon today in Toronto with Liz Taylor, an amazing artist, actor and production/film producer. Liz has started this amazing podcast "2020 Podcast with Liz Taylor"..we had a fabulous interview and we talk about a lot of ADHD related details and in sharing my story. I'm simply bubbling this morning, from being at the Orpheus Choir of Toronto's celebrating "International Women's Day "Raising Her Voice" concert. at Grace Church on the Hill..one of the best produced choral concerts that I have ever attended! A new partner for Orpheus was the involvement of "Diaspora Dialogues" of Toronto. who matched up Canadian poets with the four young new composers being featured in this concert. As usual Robert Cooper, blended established Canadian an...d international female composers into this amazing program by "Kate Gimon, Ramona Luengen, Cecilia McDowall, Jocelyn Morlock, Diane Loomer, Gwyneth Walker and Sarah Quartel" with four new incredible composers such as: Christine Donkin's work " Careful, Careful" "A Prayer for Return" Ankia-France Forget, "Two Tea Bowls," Twanie Olson and "Beneath/Sound" by Katerina Gimon. BRAVA. Ladies...what a night and I'm looking forward to hearing more of your works in the future! As most new works are hard for the choir to grasp and enjoy,,, the Choir was fully in and enjoyed themselves too; this concert was such a treat for the audience to participate in and hear such a divergence of sound and texture from all of these female composers. Bravo, to my fellow Orpheus Choir friends and to Robert Cooper, Ellse Naccarato, Apprentice Conductor, and Lisa Griffiths, Managing Director who worked very diligently on this concert and made it such a success! Too bad, that we don't have CBC Radio's "Choral Concert" anymore to feature this concert on its program for a national or international audience to hear and enjoy as well.

So the "gad about" is home for a little while (that's what we used to call my grandmother Violet when she would go off in her little car and visit her friends all over ON) Thank you all for your wonderful comments and encouragement during my 'media days in London"...two more events on the schedule...Dundas Baptist Church book signing on Nov 10th and then a wonderful morning bible study until noon with the seniors of Waterloo Mennonite Brethren Church on Nov 22nd. Can't wait for this engagement, being with the seniors and the worship time we'll have together. I'm booking engagements for 2019...so it you'd like for me to come to your church, healing group to speak on ADHD issues for large or small groups and/or book or service clubs...please contact me.
