The Royal Canadian Legion is pleased to learn that a new aid package will make millions of dollars available to support struggling Branches across the country w...ith their operational costs. The Legion will receive $14 million of a $20 million dollar total aid package for Veteran organizations. This has been a long time coming and we are very grateful, says Thomas D. Irvine, CD, Dominion President. We have already lost over twenty Branches during this pandemic, and we hope this much-needed funding will help the others stay afloat for as long as needed to weather this ongoing storm. Today National Executive Director Steven Clark and Grand President Larry Murray participated in the annual Turn to Busan commemorative ceremony, which pays trib...ute to Canadians who served and died in the Korean War. The Korea Veterans Association of Canada and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada co-hosted the ceremony, with support from Veterans Affairs Canada. This ceremony mirrors the annual Remembrance Day ceremony held at the United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Busan, Republic of Korea. #CanadaRemembers See more
