Sunday, Sept 27, was a big day. For the first time in over 6 months people gathered at the church (in the parking lot, masked, and distancing) for worship. The worship was simultaneously broadcast on our Uberconference. 25 Persons were present at the church and a further 13 were present online. The culmination of the worship was a symbolic beginning to our building accessibility project which is in the hands of the engineers at this point. The committee put symbolic shovels in the ground to mark the beginning of this very special project. Thanks to Elder Jay Burtwistle for the movie of the sod turning. IT WAS WINDY....

This is me at the age of 2. The picture was taken 2005 in France. Since then about one third of ALL the world’s fossil fuel CO2 emissions have occurred. Over ha...lf of our CO2 emissions have taken place since 1990. That sort of gives you an idea of how fast we’re racing in the wrong direction. Our annual emissions are now so high that every single year of Business As Usual will impact future living conditions for countless generations. Join us this Friday, September 25th for the global climate strike. #FridaysForFuture #facetheclimateemergency

COVID-19 UPDATE JUNE 9, 2020 St. James will continue worshiping via conference call on Sundays at 9:30 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM throughout June. (One exception on Sunday, June 28 we celebrate our 182nd anniversary with a special 2:30 PM call-in service and no morning service.)... Although the Province of Ontario will now allow places of worship to open, we want to ensure we can do so safely and thoughtfully. The Presbytery of London has requested that churches not resume in-person worship services at this time. We will provide updates as plans are determined, but currently no opening date is set. Only our building is closed! To get the call-in number for our services, or to chat with Rev. Jim, contact him at 226-378-5692. Stay safe out there. May God’s face shine upon you and give you peace.
